August 2010
Rick Ross album tight, but I’ma have to stand by Slim. I’ve been listening to him for too long. “Where the Maybachs at? hahaha
Glad I don’t fuck with XBL anymore.
Dick Grayson > Bruce Wayne… Just saying
For my picks I went 2/4.
Diaz vs Davis
Diaz came out outboxed Davis, talked shit, and taunted. Resulting in a win via submission. With that i get a +1
Kenflo vs Maynard
Like I said before I don’t really care for either of these figters, but I did want to see Kenflo win this. He seemed very eh throughout the fight. Stand up wasn’t too great, and Maynard had those fast ass takedowns. Maynard won via decision. -1
Couture vs Toney
Theres not much to say about this fight. Couture came out with a single leg take down and smothered Toney. Once the boxer was on his back he had no idea wtf to do. I was BWW for this fight and so much black people (no racial) were talking shit about Couture. After he won via submission this guy flicked me off and yelled fuck you. I smiled and pointed at my Couture shirt. Toney didn’t stand a chance. I’m surprised he didn’t work on any takedown defenses. If he did he didn’t use it. +1
Penn vs Edgar
Edgar for the second time beat BJ Penn. He didn’t do anything spectacular though. He is what I call a “point” fighter. He went for nothing but takedowns. Which is fine, but the fans including myself like to watch something exciting. We want to see fighters exploit each other weakneses and counter their strengths. Not a bunch of circling the cage. As much as I dislike Edgar. I got to give it to him. He beat Penn twice. -1
There are three interesting story lines coming into UFC 118. First, will Frankie Edgar repeat and retain his title or will BJ Penn come back stronger than ever before? Second, who will be the #1 contender in the Lightweight Division? Lastly third, what will James…
I support these predictions
Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity
Since I’ve been listening to it so often lately. Jamiroquai’s Virtual Insanity.
Love the song and the video. It’s so old yet its so good. Timeless
Time to get one…
The fights this weekend will be very interesting to say the least. First off we got a rematch between edgar and penn. Another fight I’m looking forward to is Couture vs Toney. The Kenflo vs Maynard has me interested but at the same time the other two fights over shadow it.
First off the Randy Couture vs James Toney is going to be one wild fucking fight. You got a guy that has 14 years of MMA experience vs a guy that will have 4 months of MMA experience. I’m not saying Couture will steamroll Toney, becayse Toney is monster ass heavyweight boxer with liek 50 TKO’s or some shit. The thing that bothers me is that Toney is talking hella shit and not giving MMA the benefit of the doubt. Hes been talking about walking in there and boxing. He hasn’t said much about what he would do in a clinch or if gets thrown on his back.
What I think is that Toney won’t surprise Couture. There isn’t anything Toney can do to surprise him because hes been in so many damn fights. What will catch Couture though is those big ass hands that Toney throws so quick. The person I’ll be rooting for is Randy Couture, but I do have my doubts do to the fact that although Toney is inexperienced in MMA… he still has that outstanding boxing career background.
Next up I want to talk about the main event. BJ Penn vs Frankie Edgar. This will be a rematch. Frankie Edgar beat BJ Penn via decision. If you go back and watch the fight. Penn didn’t do much of anything. He just stood there and took it. He didn’t even go for takedowns. I mean cmon now. He has badass BJJ and badass standup. Why use just one when you can do both. Frankie Edgar doesn’t interest me in the least bit. Yes. He did beat BJ Penn, but it’s not like he outclassed him or anything. BJ didn’t do anything at all.
BJ Penn seems really motivated in this fight and I think he will come back to take his belt back.
